Green Beans with Lemon and Garlic

Boil beans until crisp-tender about 3 to 4 minutes. Plunge into ice water to stop cooking. Add olive oil to large frying pan and heat to medium. Add shallot and cook until soft. Add garlic and pepper flakes and cook until fragrant about 30 seconds Add beans, lemon zest, and soy sauce. Cook until heated through a beans are spotty browned Add lemon juice and stir in until mixed. Makes 4 servings. |
