Bring a pot of water to boil and add green beans. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until tender-crisp. Remove beans from boiling water and plunge beans into ice water to stop cooking. Toast the almonds in a small dry skillet until brown. Melt butter in frying pan and add green beans. Cook until brown in spots. Add almonds and lemon juice to green beans and heat through. Makes 4 servings. |
