Crockpot Apple Butter

  dark brown sugar

  apple cider or apple juice

Place apples is slow cooker. Mix the remaining ingredients together in a small bowl and pour over apples.

Cover and cook on LOW for 10 hours until thick and dark brown.

Uncover and stir and cook for another 2 hours.

Use an immersion blender and puree until smooth.

Spoon into sterile jars and cover and refrigerate.
