  low sodium chicken broth or other broth

 low fat evaporated milk

Melt butter in saucepan. Add onion and cook until lightly browned.

Add flour and cook stirring out any lumps for one minute.

Whisk in broth heating until thickened and no lumps remain.

Remove from heat and stir in milk.
