Basic Double Pie Crust

2   cups   all-purpose flour
1   teaspoon   salt
1   cup   shortening -- chilled
4   tablespoons   ice water -- up to 8

In large bowl combine the flour and salt. Using a pastry blender cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the water and mix until it comes together in a ball.

Divide in half and shape into balls.

Refrigerate at least 4 hours or over night.
