Sweet and Sour Cucumbers

Place cucumbers in a colander and coat with salt. Let drain for 30 minutes. Heat vinegar in small saucepan to boiling. Add sugar, basil, and pepper and stir until sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool. Drain cucumbers and pat dry. Add dressing and stir to coat. Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours before serving. Makes 8 servings. |
