  chicken livers -- cut in half

 water chestnuts -- cut in half

 bacon -- lower sodium -- cut in half


Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, sherry, sesame oil, and five-spice together. Add livers and cover and let marinate for at least 2 hours.

Heat oven to 400°F.

Wrap liver around a chestnut.

Wrap bacon around liver and secure with wooden toothpicks.

Place on a broiler pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, turning once, until bacon is crisp.
