Navajo Fry Bread

 all-purpose flour

 baking powder

 powdered milk

 vegetable oil


Mix dry ingredients together.

Add water and mix until smooth.

Turn out dough on flour covered board and knead until elastic and bread comes together. Do not over work the dough.

Cover dough and refrigerate for one hour.

Heat oil in large frying pan to 360°F to about an inch deep.

Divide dough into four pieces. Flatten dough into a circle.

Fry dough one piece at a time for about 2 minutes per side or until golden brown.
