Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and molasses and mix well. Sift dry ingredients together. Mix dry ingredients into wet. Chill dough for 3 hours or as long as overnight. Heat oven to 375°F. Form dough into walnut size balls. Roll in the sugar and place on greased cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 54 cookies |
