French Peas with Lettuce

  fresh peas -- or frozen defrosted

  pearl onions

  unsalted butter

  low sodium vegetable broth

Melt butter is large sauce pan. Add onions and cook until starting to brown.

Add stock, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.

Add peas and lettuce and reduce heat to simmer. 

Cover and cook 10 minutes for fresh vegetables and 5 minutes for frozen.

Makes 6 servings.
