Heat oven to 450°F. In large bowl mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, cream of tartar, salt, and dried buttermilk. Add the water and melted butter and mix just until moistened. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Notes: You can use 1 cup of buttermilk. I use the powdered because I never can use a full quart of buttermilk before it goes bad. Makes 12 servings |
