In a heavy saucepan over medium heat combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and add chocolate, butter, and vanilla. Stir until chocolate and butter are melted and thoroughly combined. Pour into serving dishes and refrigerate. Notes : To keep a film from forming on pudding cover with plastic wrap and press to cover the pudding. Makes 6 servings |
