  low sodium vegetable broth

 raisins -- seedless

Heat broth to boiling. Add rice and cook 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is cooked and liquid absorbed.

Melt butter in small skillet and add shallots. Cook until softened.

Add spices to frying pan and cook for 30 seconds.

Mix shallots and raisins into rice and mix. Heat through.
