Baked Apples

1/4   cup   golden seedless raisins
1/4   cup   dark brown sugar
1/4   cup   walnuts -- diced fine
1/4   teaspoon   cinnamon
1/8   teaspoon   nutmeg
1/8   teaspoon   cloves
6   large   Granny Smith apples
1/2   cup   apple juice
3   tablespoons   unsalted butter 
1/2  cup  maple syrup
Heat oven to 350°F.

Core apples to hollow out middle but don't go all the way through.

Mix brown sugar, walnuts, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves together.

Divide raisin mixture between apples.

Place apples in a dish that will hold them upright.

Place a pat of butter on top of each apple. Drizzle maple syrup over the apples. Bake for 50 minutes.
