Heat oven to 375°F. Line 9 inch pie plate with dough. Mix apples with cornstarch, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mound apple mixture in pie plate and dot with butter. Cover the filling with second piece of dough. Flute edges and cut slit in top. Cover edges and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil or pie edge cover and bake for and additional 20 minutes or until golden and filling is bubbly. Cool on rack. Makes 8 servings |
